Position Overview:

The Mortgage Loan Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating and processing mortgage applications. This position requires a meticulous approach to ensure the integrity of loan documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of loan applications to verify accuracy in financial details, including income and assets.
  • Assess completeness and correctness of all submitted documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external lending guidelines.
  • Make informed decisions regarding loan approvals within established authority limits.
  • Evaluate appraisal reports and assess associated risks in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of various lending programs and underwriting criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer service delivery.
  • Stay updated on The Ladders' lending policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating creditworthiness and property value.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven with a strong desire for professional growth.
  • Demonstrated capability to identify learning opportunities and seek out resources effectively.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the use of standard office equipment, including computers and telecommunication devices. Effective communication is essential, both in person and via phone, and the position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
