**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Physician's Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team at the Fresno County Main Jail. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of inmates and support their overall health and well-being.

**Responsibilities**

* Conduct daily sick calls, provide emergency care, and coordinate patient transfers to appropriate facilities
* Treat and manage non-psychotic behavioral health disorders and provide ongoing care for patients on maintenance doses of non-psychotic medications
* Participate in Quality Management and Peer Review activities, document findings using the S.O.A.P.E. method, and attend quarterly Quality Management meetings
* Perform minor surgical procedures, repair lacerations, and remove sutures
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

**Requirements**

* Master's program in nursing (NPs) or an accredited education program for PAs
* Previous correctional/detention facility experience
* Minimum two (2) years' experience
* Unrestricted current license, certification, or registration in state of practice
* Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
* Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHA

**Compensation**

$78 - $94.81 per hour
