Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Pyramid Healthcare. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients in our inpatient rehab center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the intake process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our program.
- Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and families, maintaining accurate and detailed client logs.
- Provide a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Coordinate activities, such as lectures, recreation, and meetings, to promote client engagement and progress.
- Conduct mandatory bed checks, complete bed-check sheets, and report any concerns to the team.
- Attend shift change, team meetings, and company meetings to stay informed and aligned with our mission.
- Ensure clients adhere to their treatment schedules and participate in interventions as needed.
- Monitor medication lines, transport clients to medical appointments, and conduct searches upon return to the facility.
- Provide basic care and support, including hygiene and medical needs, to ensure clients' overall well-being.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and achieve our goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in drug and alcohol/mental health settings (preferred).
- Facilitating process groups and family sessions (preferred).
