We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Information Security Administrator to join our team at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. This is a senior security position that requires extensive technical expertise to design, build, and manage complex information security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Identify cybersecurity and compliance requirements and develop controls to meet these requirements
- Lead the implementation of these controls in new technology or existing systems
- Assess technology to identify and address cybersecurity issues
- Perform advanced technical work including forensics and incident management
- Coordinate with network, system, and security staff in other departments and provide technical cybersecurity leadership
- Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with three years experience directly related to the duties of the position
- Significant technical knowledge of and experience with network, server, storage, endpoint, and cybersecurity systems
- In-depth knowledge of information system, network, and cybersecurity architecture
- Knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27002 or NIST SP
- Ability to act independently with little or no guidance and use effective problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated project management experience and excellent analytical skills
- Ability to write scripts to automate processes
