About the Role
The Urology Department at University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a highly motivated individual to support our team of professionals in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to our providers and patients, ensuring a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
- Monitor clinic schedules, greet patients, and guide them to their examination rooms, while collecting pertinent medical information for their health records.
- Collaborate with our healthcare team, including nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and physicians, to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Depending on scope of certification or license, some employees may assist with minor in-office procedures, give injections and immunizations, and collect laboratory samples.
Requirements
- As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): NREMT & MN EMT certification
- As a Medical Assistant (MA): Medical Assisting Diploma from a CHEA/CAAHEP accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred)
- As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
