Job Summary

Child Start is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide consultation and assistance to child care providers, establish and maintain community contacts, and support recruiting efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present professional development events to support the growth and development of child care providers.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on child care, child development, and curriculum concerns to providers and parents.
  • Support the membership and service goals of the Child Care Resource and Referral program.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for adult audiences.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote the work of Child Start and advance the field of early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in providing direct care for infants and/or toddlers or children ages two to eight in a group setting.
  • Minimum of one year's experience providing training to adult audiences.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client population and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Holds a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner and multitask.

This is a non-remote position, and the successful candidate must be able to commute daily to Wichita, KS. Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
