As a key member of the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Services staff, you will play a critical role in identifying, recruiting, and enrolling top-quality candidates from local and regional schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive outreach plan to communicate with potential students and their families.
  • Collaborate with other CAS recruiters and the Director to create and implement effective recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct initial academic advising appointments for prospective first-year and transfer students.
  • Assist with CAS in-person new student orientation sessions.
  • Develop strategic recruitment plans that include efficient travel and maximum exposure to potential undergraduate candidates.
  • Create and foster partnerships with high school counselors, alumni, community college partners, and the community.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with technology that supports both students and professional practice, such as MS Word, Excel, Student Information Systems, Degree Audits, Internet/online resources, etc.
  • Administrative and organization skills with the ability to handle simultaneous projects.
  • The ability to relate effectively to students and their families, faculty, support staff, and alumni.
  • Ability to present complex information to groups of students, their families, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a higher education setting with an emphasis on undergraduate student affairs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years' experience in a higher education setting with an emphasis on undergraduate student affairs.
  • Demonstrated success in working with diverse populations.
  • Liberal arts background.
