Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead estimating efforts and supervise a team of estimators as needed. This role focuses on accurately estimating the materials, equipment, and labor required for construction projects. You will work with project drawings and specifications to prepare comprehensive estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate requests for estimates and ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Review construction documents to understand the scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed cost analyses, including material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
  • Execute take-offs from construction documents and input data into estimating software.
  • Utilize company-approved costing methodologies to present estimates in a detailed format.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and maintain records of client communications.
  • Generate proposals and incorporate necessary notes and exclusions.
  • Maintain cost estimating tools and databases to ensure updated information.
  • Coordinate the handoff of estimates to the operations team.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and clients regarding estimating activities.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in time management and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in civil construction.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating software.

Bonus Skills:
  • OSHA certification.
  • General knowledge of the construction industry.
