Position Overview

As a Facility Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized environment within our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks aimed at ensuring the upkeep of the premises.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform thorough cleaning of tables, chairs, cabinets, counters, and appliances in common areas.
  2. Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and manage waste disposal effectively.
  3. Ensure windows and doors are cleaned regularly to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  4. Carry out minor maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, and conducting basic plumbing and carpentry work.
  5. Monitor outdoor areas, including grounds and parking lots, to keep them litter-free.
  6. Assist with recycling efforts and the repackaging of shipping materials.
  7. Inspect and maintain restrooms throughout the day, ensuring supplies are replenished as needed.
  8. Receive and organize supplies from vendors, moving them to designated areas.
  9. Maintain a clean and efficient workspace, ensuring that necessary supplies are readily available.
  10. Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  11. Maintain confidentiality regarding all personnel and operational information.
  12. Be open to cross-training in various areas to support business needs.
  13. Bilingual skills may be advantageous, depending on the requirements of the role.
  14. Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of three months of experience in a custodial role is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates should possess the ability to follow oral and written instructions, demonstrate manual dexterity, and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.

This position may involve exposure to hazardous materials and requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
