The Anesthesiologist will play a crucial part in the Anesthesia Department, directing and coordinating activities to ensure seamless patient care. This medical professional will be responsible for providing medical management for patients undergoing unconsciousness or insensibility to pain and emotional stress during medical procedures. The Anesthesiologist will conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain and/or verify patient consent, discuss anesthetic options and associated risks with patients, administer induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, and monitor patients' physiological condition throughout procedures. Additionally, the Anesthesiologist will perform necessary clinical interventions as required, deliver clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre- and post-operation, and monitor patients during surgery and in various care units such as ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management. The Anesthesiologist will also review medical files and laboratory results and inform patients about the risks associated with anesthesia.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA), possess current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent, have a minimum of one year of recent experience, hold an M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, complete an approved Residency in Anesthesia, and hold current licensure as a Physician and possess a current license to practice medicine in New York.
