Job Summary

As a Seasonal Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining safe swimming conditions, enforcing pool rules and regulations, and rescuing those in distress. You will also be involved in maintaining the quality of swimming pool water and the appearance of pool facilities or beach areas.

This is a seasonal position that requires a strong commitment to public safety and customer service. You will work closely with a team to ensure the smooth operation of our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor swimming activities and enforce pool rules and regulations
  • Rescue swimmers in distress and administer first aid and/or CPR as needed
  • Maintain the quality of swimming pool water and the appearance of pool facilities or beach areas
  • Assist with aquatic programming, including water exercise classes and swim lessons
  • Perform cashier services and handle customer transactions

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must possess and maintain CPR/AED certification for Professional Rescuers and Standard First Aid
  • Must have American Red Cross Lifeguard or nationally recognized equivalent certification
  • Must be able to swim and perform water rescues
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in an outdoor environment, exposed to weather conditions and potential hazards. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and have good physical condition and sufficient strength to control struggling adult swimmers.
