Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement key financial strategies and plans to maximize portfolio growth.

Accounting, Financial Analysis, Consolidations, and Reporting:
  • Direct oversight of back-office, including general accounting and bookkeeping, consolidation and close process, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
Finance Operations Management:
  • Develop and implement financial policies and guidelines aligned with the company's strategic initiatives and growth objectives.
  • Management of financial operations and controls for all vendor spend and rent collection.
  • Management oversight of real estate insurance, company insurance, and risk management programs.
Capital Stack Management:
  • Work in conjunction with the Chief Investment Officer to oversee the investor capital stack and ongoing financial relationships with CityLife Residential investors.
  • Oversight of all traditional Mortgage-backed debt and bank partner relationships.
Financial Portfolio Management:
  • Serve as a key player in the strategic management of the Citylife portfolio, including the development and maintenance of financial models for investment analysis.
  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of potential multi-family acquisitions or partnerships and investment opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage a finance/accounting team, work with executives, and communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong financial acumen, including experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and risk management.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Proficiency in financial accounting principles and practices, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience with real estate accounting standards.
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis: The ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.

Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or a CPA license is an added advantage.

Real Estate knowledge: An understanding of the real estate industry, including market trends, property valuations, investment strategies, property management, and construction, real estate financing.

Capital Markets and Financing: Experience in capital markets and fundraising activities, including knowledge of debt and equity financing options, investor relations, and financial structuring.
