Technical Training Specialist

Job Summary:
The Technical Trainer assists with training processes locally, reporting into the site General Manager/ Plant Manager and dotted lines into Operations Learning & Development. The role ensures training is completed for Operator/ Craft Job Certification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing daily technical training on the floor to assist with the Certification of team members in their roles
- Partnering with OPS L&D leader to support New Hire Orientation/ On Boarding Training, as needed
- Assisting with tracking, evaluating, and measuring training locally using the company’s Dept. Training Standards & Learning System tools
- Supporting site specific technical learning solution creation (SOP’s, Guided Workflows, Technical Learning Aids - to assist with training)
- Developing, building, and maintaining relationships with trainees & leaders in their role
- Participating in new teammate hiring process - assessing candidates’ skills (general and/ or machine, involved in interview process to assess industrial experience, and providing perspective on hiring decisions)
- Conducting training on all shifts
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience conducting/ leading training, including On-The-Job training, or similar, in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Microsoft Office Experience Preferred- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms
