The Laser Cutting Technician at Multi-Lab LLC will be tasked with the efficient fabrication of production components and other essential duties as required. This role involves meticulous data management and documentation, overseeing inventory of sheet stock, performing machine preventive maintenance, and ensuring a well-organized and clean work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the production schedule and priorities as designated by laser programmers.
  • Request product labels for identification purposes when necessary.
  • Conduct in-process quality inspections utilizing drawings, measuring instruments, and visual aids.
  • Identify and organize components for straightforward identification.
  • Collaborate with Material Handlers for the replenishment of raw stock materials.
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers for the distribution of finished components.
  • Report any machine or equipment malfunctions, failures, and maintenance needs to the Production Supervisor or laser programmer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work center and material storage areas.
  • Review inventory levels of raw sheet stock as assigned.
  • Perform scheduled weekly machine preventive maintenance and clean-up tasks.
  • Manage the storage, documentation, archiving, and creation of component patterns and layouts.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for operating system issues.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in operating all work center equipment and tools is essential.
  • Ability to utilize measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes.
  • Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift up to fifty pounds with ease.
  • Position requires the ability to climb and use various ladders with minimal physical effort.
  • Compliance with safety regulations, including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and steel/composite toed shoes as necessary.
