About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Auditor will assist the Quality Manager in implementing and ensuring compliance within the QA department at WestRock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Assurance Auditor duties as needed.
  • Collect, organize, and prepare Quality Assurance reports, as required.
  • Issue Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Preventative Action Request (CAPAs), as needed; follow up to ensure completion of the corrective action items.
  • Assist in Problem Solving Sessions.
  • Research quality issues.
  • Assist in internal and customer audits.
  • Participate in Customer recalls and annual mock recalls as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance of the Pest Control Program.
  • Ensure all tool calibrations are current and documented.
  • Assist with training across departments on GMPs, HACP, Food Safety, etc.
  • Verify compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Quality Assurance department during on-site meetings (production, planning, customer, regulatory), as needed.
  • Monitor workload and assure that daily requirements are met.
  • Customer contact as required.
  • Communicate Company policies, procedures, and customer requirements to other WRMD employees and to participate/assist in their development as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED minimum.
  • Minimum 1 year quality assurance auditing experience and prior knowledge of quality systems. Proficient mathematical, computer, clerical, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
