Position Overview:
The Registration Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for clients at Tranow. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all patients.

Key responsibilities include registering patients, managing phone communications, and collecting payments while providing support to patients and their families in the reception area.

The Registration Specialist collaborates effectively within a team and may take on additional tasks as directed by management.

This position requires sound judgment and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits:


New hires can anticipate a starting wage of $21.11 per hour, commensurate with their experience and skills. Additionally, Tranow offers a 15% pay differential for Per Diem employees.


Work Environment:
This is a Per Diem position, with potential travel to various Tranow locations.

Work Schedule:
Shifts are available between 6 AM and 7:30 PM, seven days a week, with shift differentials for eligible schedules.

Per Diem employees are expected to fulfill a minimum of 2 shifts (or 16 hours) monthly.

Core Responsibilities:
Welcome and register patients for radiology services, ensuring their comfort and addressing inquiries.


Responsibilities include verifying insurance details, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, and liaising with other medical facilities as required.

Process account payments.


Manage routine office tasks such as word processing, sorting referrals, faxing, and maintaining organized workstations.

Handle document scanning and navigate the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Check work email regularly.

Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security protocols.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.

A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with radiology procedures such as Mammography, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, NM, FL, PET, and IR is beneficial.

Understanding of CPT codes and the RIS system is essential.

Exhibit proper phone etiquette and use correct grammar.

Demonstrate effective customer service skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain respectful interactions with colleagues.

Communicate professionally with patients and other medical facilities.

Ability to provide directions to outpatient locations.

Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills are necessary.

Knowledge of administrative procedures, including word processing, typing, and filing.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow instructions effectively.

Licensure and Certifications:
A valid driver's license in the State of Washington or equivalent mobility documentation is required.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves moderate physical demands, including assisting patients of varying weights. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and possess manual dexterity for operating office equipment.

Mental Requirements:
The position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage stressful situations while maintaining confidentiality.

Work Environment:
The work setting consists of standard office conditions, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and limited exposure to ionizing radiation.
