The Transmission Operations Leader is tasked with overseeing the strategic direction and management of the Transmission Department within the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Global Practice. + Conduct thorough interviews to identify the best candidates while addressing unconscious bias.
+ Oversee the onboarding process for all new hires, including interns and transfers.
+ Support Human Resources in educational partnerships and internship initiatives.
Career Development and Performance Management
+ Educate staff on career advancement opportunities within T&D and assist them in developing necessary skills.
+ Implement quality initiatives and coordinate with other departments for quality control.

+ Utilize foresight and sound judgment to anticipate and resolve challenges.
+ Assist in sales and marketing efforts for projects, ensuring client engagement and coordination.
+ Serve as a technical advisor, providing insights on transmission engineering projects.
+ Conduct bi-annual assessments of departmental strengths and weaknesses to inform strategic planning.
+ May take on project management responsibilities for key technical initiatives.
Qualifications
+ A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in transmission or structural engineering.
+ Professional engineering registration or pursuit of registration is required.
+ Proven leadership in developing impactful visions and strategies.
+ Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to lead and manage change effectively.
+ Strong understanding of industry dynamics and the ability to present complex information clearly.
+ Proven problem-solving skills in resource and project management.
+ Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and discretion.
+ Demonstrated collaboration and organizational skills in previous roles.
+ Technical expertise in transmission engineering design is essential.
+ Previous experience in personnel management is preferred.
