About the Role:The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction to the manufacturing operations and support departments, driving optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety to meet internal and external customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement business plans to achieve customer satisfaction and awards
- Lead plant activities to achieve QS-9000 certifications
- Interface with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless communication
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Provide leadership and direction to meet customer expectations
- Manage the business plan and its objectives, revising as necessary
- Oversee compliance to internal and OSHA safety procedures
- Identify training needs and review current training programs
- Lead by example, adhering to company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the financial performance of the plant
- Support corporate activities, such as A3P, Quoting, Costing, and Procedure development
The ideal candidate will possess a Business or Engineering degree and ten years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A manufacturing background and experience in plastics are required.
The successful candidate will also possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex problems and develop effective solutions.
