Job Summary

This position will provide project management direction from inception to completion of projects; to be the primary contact in concert with the Project Management Principal Engineer and Project Management Administrative Engineer for other public agencies, special interest groups and the general public regarding project activities; to establish effective long-term relationships with local units of government; and to provide overall direction and leadership to technical project teams in the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques in the management of project activities for minor, moderate and major scale projects to meet the project requirements; to ensure consistency with MnDOT strategy, commitments and goals; and to ensure proper program execution and compliance with MnDOT, state and federal procedures, practices, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide project management direction from inception to completion of projects.

  • Ensure consistency with MnDOT strategy, commitments and goals.
  • Ensure proper program execution and compliance with MnDOT, state and federal procedures, practices, regulations, and standards.
Requirements

**Education and Experience**

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited college/university or equivalent as rated by EAC/NCEES.

**Licensure**

Applicants must be licensed as a Professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.

**Certifications**

A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is required.

**Work Experience**

Two (2) years post-graduation civil engineering work is required.

OR

A Master's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering from an EAC-ABET accredited college/university or equivalent as rated by EAC/NCEES.

A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is required.

One (1) year of post-graduate civil engineering work is required.

OR

Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals & Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
