In the role of FEO, you will be responsible for managing all financial activities of the firm, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow oversight.

You will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring adherence to regulations, and enhancing financial performance.

You will work closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives and contribute to the firm's ongoing success and expansion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and oversee the firm's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Assess financial performance and generate comprehensive reports for the executive team and partners.
  • Supervise cash flow to guarantee the firm has adequate resources to meet operational demands and strategic objectives.
  • Implement measures to optimize cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
  • Produce precise and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Direct and manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial objectives with operational requirements.
  • Monitor budget compliance and address any discrepancies.
  • Partner with senior leadership to formulate and execute the firm's strategic business plans.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to facilitate business decisions and growth strategies.
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee and manage firm expenditures to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for significant expenditures and investments.
  • Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, including involvement in recruitment, training, and performance assessment.
  • Promote a collaborative and productive atmosphere within the finance department.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is essential.
  • Advanced degrees (MBA, Master's) and/or certifications (CPA, CFA) are required.
  • 8-15 years of experience in financial management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior capacity; prior experience in the legal sector is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance; adeptness with financial management software is necessary.
  • Proven capability to lead and nurture a finance team; strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulations and risk management within the legal industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in financial modeling and performance evaluation.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving environments and stay informed on industry trends and technologies; commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
