Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at UT Health San Antonio. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating clinical research by administering and monitoring treatment or research protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Screening: Screen, recruit, and consent study participants to ensure eligibility and suitability for clinical research studies.
  • Study Coordination: Verify eligibility, complete screening procedures, schedule and conduct study visits, collect and process data collection, complete research-related forms, and maintain study subject data.
  • Patient Education and Counseling: Instruct and counsel patients in research procedures, including administration, monitoring, recording, and analyzing data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and local regulations, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Study Close-out: Monitor close-out of studies and ensure records are retained for the appropriate length of time.
  • Protocol Development: Review goals and requirements of new protocols, plan and design source documentation, and coordinate study initiation.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage clinical research projects for the Principal Investigator, including assessment, planning, evaluation, and intervention for the well-being of study participants.
Qualifications
  • Communication and Liaison: Ability to communicate and liaise with research participants, research team members, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
Education and Certification
  • Education: Associate's degree is required.
  • Certification: Texas RN license is required.
