As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of essential financial tasks, including:

  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Year-End Review: Support year-end review documentation and participate in annual budgeting activities.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide guidance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, enhancing vendor and customer relations.
  • File Maintenance: Maintain accurate customer and vendor files to facilitate proper AR/AP entry, payment, and reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct analysis projects related to inventory, operations, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Custom Reporting: Generate tailored reports from various company databases to support financial decision-making.
  • Commission Preparation: Prepare commissions and expense reports accurately and timely.
  • Tax Compliance: File annual 1099 Forms and prepare sales and use tax returns as required.
  • Intercompany Entries: Maintain accurate intercompany financial entries.
  • Inventory Audits: Periodically perform inventory audits in collaboration with production and tooling teams.
  • Payroll Support: Train to serve as a backup for biweekly payroll processing, ensuring data accuracy throughout.
  • Information Requests: Prepare responses to information requests from customers and vendors.
  • Cost Maintenance: Maintain standard costs for all raw materials and manufactured products.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary reports and data to support quarterly financial audits.
  • Mentorship: Offer coaching and mentorship to junior accountants.
  • Autonomy: Operate with a high degree of autonomy in daily responsibilities.

Experience Requirements:
  • Required: Minimum of 7 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience using IQMS and/or JDE in a manufacturing context.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
