We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Specialist to become a part of our dedicated team. Here, we value the clinician's expertise and independence.

As a member of our Rehabilitation team, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of patient conditions and demographics, from pediatric to adult care.

Our Rehab department serves both outpatient and inpatient/swing patients.

Position Summary:
This role involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and oversight of Physical Therapy services in alignment with physician referrals, state and national standards, and established departmental protocols.

The position requires clinical proficiency and knowledge to deliver age-appropriate treatment for patients.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Assess patient capabilities and limitations. Determine the necessity for intervention. Develop a comprehensive care plan and treatment objectives. Conduct thorough evaluations within departmental timelines. Identify and prioritize critical limiting factors. Collaborate with patients and their families in goal-setting. Initiate discharge planning and recommend modifications to referral orders.
2. Execute tailored treatment plans considering the patient's physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs. Provide skilled treatment safely and assess ongoing effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary. Involve patients and families in the treatment process and provide continuous education to the healthcare team.
3. Maintain documentation in accordance with professional guidelines set by regulatory bodies. Ensure legibility and timely completion of records. Document evidence-based treatment methods and patient progress.
4. Communicate essential patient information to facilitate optimal care continuity. Share evaluation results and patient progress with the healthcare team in a clear and timely manner.
5. Adapt to varying caseloads, schedules, and staffing needs. Take initiative to assist in other patient care areas as required.
6. Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Participate in training and orientation for new staff members.
7. Engage in departmental activities, attend required meetings, and contribute to process improvements. Meet productivity standards set by the department.
8. Interact with various staff levels across departments, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts regarding patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have graduated from an APTA accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent. A current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice is required. BLS certification is mandatory.

Demonstrated clinical competency, experience, training, and education relevant to the role are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
