Patient Services Representative

At INTEGRIS Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a Patient Services Representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Collect payments for copays and deductibles, and make financial arrangements for patients
- Perform check-in and check-out duties accurately and timely
- Make appointments for visits and inform clinical employees or providers of emergencies
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, and record information in the medical record
- Complete referrals to specialty providers, home health, and other services
- Accurately enter patient demographics into the practice management system
- Take clear and concise messages from pharmacies, physicians, and hospital personnel, and direct them to the appropriate clinical employee or provider
- 1 year of clerical experience preferred
- Experience in cashier procedures and/or basic accounting, clinic check-in/out procedures, basic health insurance, HMO, PPO, and basic medical terminology
- 6 months of customer service experience and 6 months of telephone customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
