The Analytics Organization (AO) at Presbyterian Healthcare Services stands as one of the most prominent in the nation. As an integral member of the Health Plan Government Programs Informatics team, the Lead Analytics Consultant:

  • Provides direct support to Clinical Operations, comprehending business processes and workflows and their implications for reporting requirements.
  • Engages in requirements that influence the Clinical Operations workflow and translates them into reporting specifications.
  • Grasps the implementation of workflows in Jiva and monitors changes within Jiva to assess their impact on regulatory reporting.
  • Develops intricate Clinical Operations reports.

The Human Services Department (HSD) regulatory reporting team plays a crucial role in assisting our community, with Presbyterian leading in Medicaid and Medicare services in New Mexico, representing a significant portion of the state program members.

  • Full Time - Exempt
  • Remote Eligible: Open to remote applicants across the United States, with specific state exclusions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive proficiency in SQL, SAS, and experience on the Payor (health plan) side.
  • Background in clinical data.
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare claims.
  • Expertise in developing complex metric reports.
  • Experience in quality assurance for regulatory reports.
  • Proven ability to drive business decisions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

The Government Informatics Team:To ensure that all Managed Care Organizations effectively support our Medicaid recipients, New Mexico's Human Services Department (HSD) employs a data-centric approach with extensive reporting requirements alongside urgent ad hoc requests to meet current demands. The Government Informatics team was established to create a scalable, sustainable process to support this intensive data-driven initiative.

  • Delivers a comprehensive suite of reports in collaboration with business stakeholders across the health plan, automating processes to facilitate the delivery of numerous reports and data marts.
  • Collaborates closely with business stakeholders to analyze backend data and align it with frontend processes, accurately representing the data that reflects the work being accomplished.
  • Develops a deep understanding of business processes to enable quality assurance and timely report updates as requirements evolve.
  • Utilizes Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline complex manual tasks, minimizing errors and enhancing efficiency.
  • Focuses on data engineering to bolster data integrity across reporting through the use of data marts that normalize and standardize frequently utilized data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or healthcare-related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is highly preferred.
  • Six (6) or more years of combined experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and health services research.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to efficiently lead teams and manage resources.
  • Experience in complex analytical projects with diverse teams, developing data-driven and outcome-based initiatives to enhance business decision-making and operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of health plan and delivery system operations, healthcare informatics, and healthcare benefits and terminology.
  • Understanding of operations within the healthcare industry and a strong grasp of business processes, including operations, delivery models, and revenue models.
  • Familiarity with program evaluation life cycles, predictive modeling, data mining, and clinical best practices is preferred.
  • Experience in financial modeling, value analysis, and other financial management practices.
  • Experience in health system finance, strategic planning, or decision support analytics is preferred.
  • Content knowledge related to program outcomes evaluation, BI tools, data visualization tools, statistical software, and general health service research and outcomes reporting/analytics.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare industry standards and healthcare information standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
