Position Summary

The HVAC Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in overseeing residential and contractor sales within the HVAC sector, specifically for one of our reputable wholesale HVAC distribution companies that offers a variety of brands, parts, and supplies. The primary objective of this position is to cultivate client relationships that enable the acquisition and retention of a robust customer base supporting a designated Sales Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative of Baker Distributing Company, establishing a strong presence in the industry.
  • Achieve maximum market penetration and sales revenue in alignment with established sales strategies and guidelines.
  • Identify and engage new accounts and dealers while developing effective market strategies.
  • Maintain direct and personal communication with all assigned accounts, nurturing relationships with potential clients.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to sales development and address customer challenges effectively.
  • Resolve client relations issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Host dealer meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive trips, and similar events.
  • Participate in home product exhibitions, utility-sponsored events, and industry associations as needed. Attend training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on technical advancements and product changes.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a clean driving record with no restrictions, suspensions, or DUI convictions in the last three years.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience in the HVAC industry is essential, preferably with a background in wholesale HVAC equipment supply.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and marketing, particularly in air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at the wholesale distribution level.
  • Experience in managing residential and commercial contractor relationships for 2-4 years.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales goals and leading teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery is required.
