Job Title: General Manager - Casual Dining

Curry UP Now is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our casual dining restaurant team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant, including sales, profits, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Profits: Develop and implement sales-building strategies to ensure optimal sales and earnings.
  • Operations and Quality Standards: Ensure all restaurants meet or exceed company Operations and Quality Standards.
  • Hospitality, Culture, and Community Involvement: Respond to customer issues, monitor employee and guest satisfaction, and promote corporate citizenship and social responsibility.
  • Franchise Operations Standards: Maintain Franchise Training Standards and support Franchise Training requirements.
  • Recruiting and Retention: Staff, train, and retain staff, and maintain staffing according to budgeted levels.
  • Training: Conduct training for managers, Franchise Operators, and service staff on operational processes and procedures.
  • People Development: Develop managerial and leadership abilities of restaurant staff, and conduct performance development reviews.
  • Employee Relations: Accurately document performance, follow termination procedures, and coach staff for improved performance.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company reference manuals, cash control, and safety and security policy.
  • Administration: Complete financial reports, timecard edits, and operational summaries, and respond to weekly and period P&L statements.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years supervisory/management experience in the restaurant business.
  • Demonstrated success in financial management and people development.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EEOC regulations, restaurant/food safety procedures, federal and state employment laws, on-boarding and employee exit requirements.
  • Computer and Point of Sale (POS) skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and the ability to navigate through the Internet and various software platforms used by the company.
  • Ability to successfully perform all job duties of all service positions in the restaurant.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 60 hours a week if business demand requires it.
  • Food Safety Manager certification required.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the English language.
  • Possesses advanced math and accounting skills.
  • Places a value on diversity, community, and shows respect for others.
  • Proven ability to problem solve and handle high stress situations.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and understand contributing factors.
  • Must be prepared to multitask in accordance with the demands of the business.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate opportunities and implement corrective action steps.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Salary Description: Up To $75,000 + Bonus
