Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive advice on various funding options available for students.
- Assisting students with the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other necessary documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Managing financial aid packaging, including file completion, eligibility verification, and compliance with federal regulations.
- Utilizing the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) to monitor students' loan histories.
- Conducting mandatory entrance and exit interviews in line with federal guidelines.
- Ensuring adherence to all institutional policies and procedures as outlined in the college's manual.
- Staying informed about and complying with applicable federal regulations and procedures.
- Performing additional duties related to financial aid packaging as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Associate degree (60 credit hours) or a minimum of one year of relevant experience in financial aid.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an office or customer service environment.
- No current defaults on any Federal Student Loans.
- Strong data entry skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- The ability to quickly learn and navigate complex processes.
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, depending on education and experience.
