Job Title: Registered Dietician
The estimated salary for this position is: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
This compensation reflects the starting rate of the pay scale, and your actual offer will be determined by your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
Per diem employees also receive an extra $1.50 per hour on top of their base hourly rate.
About the Job:Covenant Health (Tennessee) seeks a skilled Registered Dietician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating nutrition-related problems.
- Screens patients: Determine the level of nutritional care needed for each patient based on individual needs and medical history.
- Assesses nutritional status: Evaluate the nutritional needs of at-risk patients and develop a personalized nutrition care plan.
- Implements plan: Oversee the follow-through by kitchen and nursing staff to ensure the plan is executed effectively.
- Documents appropriately: Enter accurate information in the electronic medical record.
- Provides education: Share nutrition information and education with inpatients, families, and the general public as needed.
- Develops group classes: Prepare and teach educational classes to patients, families, staff, and the general public.
- Professionally interacts: Collaborate with all staff members to optimize patient care.
- Utilizes computer systems: Clock in/out and input patient information as necessary.
- Attends meetings: Participate in various meetings as required.
- Provides training: Deliver in-service training to staff as needed.
- Participates in quality assurance: Contribute to monitoring quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintains registration and licensure: Ensure current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and maintain a New Hampshire state license to practice.
Job Requirements:
- Job Knowledge and Skills: Minimum one-year clinical experience preferred.
- Education and Experience: Current NH Registered, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist required. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics strongly preferred. Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics preferred. Completion of qualifying experience, Dietetic Internship preferred.
