Job Summary

Denver Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using gamma cameras and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols and/or specific radiologist instructions.
  • Order and inject the appropriate radioisotope for the patient examination; perform the requisite quality control procedures (pre- and post-examination), and properly document all activities.
  • Effectively interact with Denver Health's PACS system through compliance with data entry, image post-processing, image archiving tasks, image quality assurance, and other related user interface activities.
  • Verify the physician order and relevant patient's history in Epic.
  • Consult with the relevant radiologist to obtain a written imaging study protocol.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree Required
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience in nuclear medicine Required
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
  • CNMT-Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge in how to operate nuclear medicine equipment and related technology.
  • Competency in the performance of nuclear medicine imaging studies.
  • Knowledge of how to address age-specific care needs of patients.
