Companion Animal Technician

Overview
In this role as a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a critical part in delivering top-quality care to our animal patients at Middlesex Veterinary Hospital. You will work closely with our veterinarians to assist in medical procedures, administer medications, and maintain accurate medical records. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include assisting in surgeries, dental cleanings, and diagnostic tests, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also need to communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's care and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent, certification as a Veterinary Technician, and experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic. You should also possess knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology. A Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field is preferred. The salary for this position is approximately $45,000 per year.
