Position Overview:
Pinnacle Staffing is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of SMT Process Engineer. This position involves the programming, setup, and operation of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate SMT production line equipment, including stencil printers, Pick & Place machines, ovens, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot Pick & Place, Screen Printer, and AOI equipment.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety.
- Monitor product quality and manage documentation for work assignments.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and calibration.
- Identify areas for improvement in equipment and team performance, implementing solutions to optimize processes.
- Test, program, inspect, and troubleshoot PCBAs to maintain quality standards.
- Assist in maintaining calibration of testing and inspection equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
- Be available for overtime and weekend work as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SMT processes.
- Experience with various PCBA production equipment.
- Proficiency in GenCAD, FAB 2000, and ERP systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills for troubleshooting.
