Job Summary

James Allen is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Diamond Consultant to join our team. As a Diamond Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expertise to our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience when purchasing diamonds and fine jewelry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of James Allen's products and services, including diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewelry.
  • Educate customers on the features and benefits of our products, ensuring they receive the information they need to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Create a welcoming and inviting store environment that showcases our products and provides a comfortable space for customers to explore.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, providing personalized service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Proactively manage customer expectations, resolving any issues that may arise and exceeding customer expectations on all levels.
  • Accurately process customer transactions, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Guarantee store inventory by maintaining high standards of customer service and inventory control procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales and customer service experience, preferably in the fine jewelry industry.
  • Strong knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, and fine jewelry, including their characteristics, features, and benefits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work traditional retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with a strong commitment to maintaining excellent attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to travel to Frederick, MD for training, if required.
