Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, the incumbent will engage in financial, operational, and technical analyses. This role is essential in supporting enterprise management to ensure that business strategies and financial objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the policies and procedures set forth by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
  • Assist in evaluating and communicating financial and operational outcomes to management. Responsible for fulfilling monthly executive financial reporting obligations.
  • Support the development and oversight of service level agreements.
  • Effectively communicate with all management levels.
    Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate and assist in business and financial planning, including both short-term and long-term financial forecasting.
  • Establish relevant financial and operational metrics for management decision-making. Ensure departmental objectives and performance standards are clearly understood and achieved by managers.
  • Prepare financial and operational statements. Assist in presenting information.
    Support review meetings with management to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Assess and develop financial analysis tools to evaluate growth, investment, or liquidation options.
    Participate in reviewing current systems and business processes for adequacy and consistency.
  • Provide support for centralized functions related to the respective business enterprise, including but not limited to accounting, treasury, financial planning, and tax.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process. Develop analyses of historical, current, and potential future trends.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting.
    • Advanced degree and/or professional certification are preferred.
    • Two (2) to four (4) years of significant experience in financial analysis within the casino hotel industry.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • May encounter casino-related environmental factors, including second-hand smoke and elevated noise levels.
    • While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
    • The casino environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy. Employees may be exposed to various casino-related environmental factors.
    CLOSING: The Tribal Council prioritizes Native Americans in all employment practices. First preference in hiring, training, promoting, and all other employment aspects is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet job requirements. As part of Seminole Gaming's employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations prior to an offer being extended.
