Pacific Aviation/SAS is in search of enthusiastic individuals to join our team at RDU Airport, providing essential wheelchair assistance to passengers. The primary responsibilities of this role include assisting passengers who require wheelchair or luggage support, providing general information, and directing passengers as needed to ensure a positive travel experience. It is essential to maintain a welcoming and positive demeanor when engaging with passengers and responding to inquiries from airline staff and the public.

Requirements:

  • Physical fitness: Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs, and stand or walk for extended periods. Assist in transferring passengers with disabilities as required.
  • Physical capability: Ability to lift heavy luggage, including bags up to 100 lbs, golf clubs, and perform other related duties.
  • Eligibility to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship.
  • Independence: Ability to respond to assistance requests and monitor flights without direct supervision.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and airline personnel to meet passenger needs.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the airport.
  • Background check required: Must provide at least two forms of identification for TSA background verification.
  • Flexible schedule preferred: The airport operates 24/7, and flight schedules may vary.
  • Availability for night/closing shifts that may extend past midnight.
  • Customer service experience preferred; prior airport experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
