Maintenance Manager Job Description

At Pinnacle Professional Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the maintenance department activities for production and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Act as the Chairman of the Employee Safety Committee and a member of the Food Safety/HACCP Team and Crisis Management Team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with Sales and Operations to develop and implement new or improved products and processes.
  • Project Management: Establish project requirements for external equipment and facility contractors.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Define the operating parameters of the Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of critical equipment parts to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Purchasing: Act as the purchasing function for equipment and facility maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 15-20 years of experience in the food industry, with supervisory background and hands-on leadership.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and management skills, experience with PLCs, HMI, Conveyors, wastewater treatment/management, and ability to troubleshoot PLCs and equipment.
  • Travel: Ability to travel on a limited basis.
Relationships:
  • Equipment Suppliers: Acts as the point person for computer and Information Technology systems.
  • Food Safety/HACCP Team: Assures that root cause analysis and corrective actions, as defined by the HACCP Team, are completed.
  • Professional Development: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, meeting with suppliers and contractors, and establishing personal technical networks.
