Key Responsibilities

As a Traffic Management Technician, your duties will include:

  • Establishing secure work zones using appropriate equipment.
  • Maintaining a Flagger Station, directing road users with hand signals and a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
  • Transporting equipment and team members safely to and from job sites, possibly using company vehicles.
  • Engaging in effective radio communication with team members on-site.
  • Ensuring the safety of your crew through clear communication.
  • Managing traffic flow efficiently.
  • Delivering exceptional service and protection to clients.
  • Receiving ongoing training and support for professional development.
  • Safeguarding the company’s employees, clients, and assets by enforcing safe work practices.
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives and explore new business opportunities.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
  • Adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Completing required training within the timeframe set by management.
  • Maintaining job sites and equipment to uphold the highest standards.
  • Interpreting specific plans and instructions to exceed client expectations.
  • Making necessary adjustments in the field to ensure safety for all parties involved.
  • Reporting any potential safety concerns or incidents to your Supervisor.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience in outdoor labor environments, such as Traffic Control, Landscaping, Construction, or Military.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Steel Toed or Composite Toed Boots.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods (8-12 hours) and lift 50-60 lbs.
  • Familiarity with client-based scheduling.
  • Adaptability to various weather conditions and traffic environments.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including a drug test.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role requires managing physical demands, including:

  • Variable hours based on staffing needs and workload.
  • A typical workweek of approximately 50 hours.
  • Predominantly fieldwork in diverse weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moving vehicles.
  • Noise levels that may be elevated in job sites.
  • The capacity to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing for prolonged periods and performing strenuous tasks in challenging conditions.

Compensation

Competitive pay range: $18.00 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience.
