Key Responsibilities

As a Traffic Management Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing secure work zones utilizing appropriate equipment.
  • Maintaining a Flagger Station by directing road users with hand signals and a STOP/SLOW Paddle.
  • Safely operating company vehicles to transport equipment and team members to various job sites.
  • Ensuring effective communication with team members via radio.
  • Controlling traffic flow to enhance safety.
  • Delivering exceptional service and protection to clients.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and development.
  • Implementing safety practices to protect employees, clients, and assets from risks.
  • Building relationships with both internal and external clients to drive business success.
  • Becoming proficient in work zone setup/design and professional flagging.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Completing required training within the timeframe set by management.
  • Maintaining job sites and equipment to uphold the highest standards.
  • Interpreting plans and instructions to exceed client expectations.
  • Making necessary adjustments in the field to ensure safety for all parties.
  • Reporting any potential safety concerns to the Supervisor.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Prior experience in outdoor labor roles such as Traffic Control, Landscaping, Construction, or similar fields.
  • A valid state driver's license.
  • Steel Toed or Composite Toed Boots.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods (8-12 hours) and lift weights of 50-60 lbs.
  • Comfort in working in various weather conditions and traffic environments.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including drug testing.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to manage physical demands, including:

  • Variable hours based on staffing needs.
  • A typical workweek of around 50 hours.
  • Majority of work conducted in outdoor settings.
  • Exposure to inclement weather and various environmental conditions.
  • Potential exposure to noise and moving vehicles.
  • Physical tasks may include lifting, carrying, and standing for long durations.

Compensation

The competitive pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.25 per hour, based on experience.
