Phlebotomy Specialist OBGYN

Baptist Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist OBGYN to join our team. As a Phlebotomist OBGYN, you will be responsible for navigating the electronic medical records system to determine and enter physician orders, enter laboratory results, and complete patient appointments. You will also draw blood by skin puncture or venipuncture, label tubes properly, and deliver them according to laboratory policy. Additionally, you will perform point of care testing as outlined in the procedure, obtain patient medication history as needed, and answer telephones and respond to inquiries from patients, other personnel, visitors, or others.
Responsibilities:- Navigate the electronic medical records system to determine and enter physician orders, enter laboratory results, and complete patient appointments.
- Draw blood by skin puncture or venipuncture, label tubes properly, and deliver them according to laboratory policy.
- Perform point of care testing as outlined in the procedure.
- Obtain patient medication history as needed.
- Answer telephones and respond to inquiries from patients, other personnel, visitors, or others.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
- BLS Required.
