Phlebotomy Specialist OBGYN

Job Summary

Baptist Health System KY & IN is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist OBGYN to join our team. As a Phlebotomist OBGYN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Navigate the electronic medical records system to determine and enter physician orders, laboratory results, and complete patient appointments.
• Draw blood by skin puncture or venipuncture, depending on the test requested by the physician.
• Label tubes properly and deliver them according to laboratory policy.
• Perform point-of-care testing as outlined in the procedure.
• Obtain patient medication history as needed.
• Answer telephones and respond to inquiries from patients, other personnel, visitors, or others.
• Participate in training procedures as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• BLS Required.
