We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Construction Driver to join our team at Allan Myers. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for driving a tanker truck equipped with water and maintaining the proper level of equipment assigned to you. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials to construction sites.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicles to maintain maximum safety conditions and report any issues to the shop immediately.
  • Drive tanker trucks to predetermined destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road conditions.
  • Work closely with paving crews to apply tack-coat to roads and highways.
  • Maintain accurate truck logs in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Communicate any problems with traffic or site conditions to the team and obtain information on job site locations and road conditions.
  • Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair as outlined in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or related work experience.
  • 1-2 years of CDL driving experience with a GVW of 33,000 pounds or greater.
  • Tanker endorsement required.
  • Must meet all DOT physical requirements.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
  • Hazmat experience preferred but not required.
