Bridge Inspection Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our award-winning program management team. As a key member of our Bridge Inspection Team, you will be responsible for managing a team of inspectors in the field, preparing proposals, client management, project management, and project execution activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a bridge, tunnel, and structural inspection team within Arizona.
  • Prepare proposals, client management, project management, and project execution activities.
  • Lead teams of inspectors in the field on routine and complex bridge inspection assignments.
  • Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings and recommendations.
  • Structural analysis of highway bridges and other structures.
  • Track, schedule, perform, and assist with in-service inspections.
  • Detailed and thorough quality control of inspection reports, recommendations, and final deliverables to clients.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Microsoft computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Access) along with AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting experience.
  • Excellent math, verbal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to travel in/out of state approximately two (2) weeks or more each month.
  • Works well in a team environment in both field and office assignments with the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Prior to employment with Stantec, you will be required to pass a pre-employment Drug/Alcohol screening.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5 years' experience in the field performing inspection of highway bridges.
  • Taken and passed NHI Course: 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State or able to obtain within six months is ideal.
  • SPRAT Climbing and/or FAA 107 Drone Certification is a benefit.
  • Experience performing Element Level bridge inspections and experience with AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) software.
  • Experience performing steel and concrete structure load ratings with AASHTOWare Bridge Rating software.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s): Salary Range(s): $108,000 - $162,000 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec, certain roles are bonus eligible.
