Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Staff Services team on a part-time basis, working nights. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and reassess patients to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care delivery
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide treatments as needed
  • Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner educational program approved by the State of New York
  • Current NP certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center
  • Current New York State license as a registered nurse and NP
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Current National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) training certification
  • Current New York State prescription privilege
  • Current DEA number
  • Current New York State Infection Control training certification
  • Completed Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) on-line training
  • Current certification by the American Vascular Association (AVA)
  • Current member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • Current member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State (NPA)
