Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Gateway Regional Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, administering contrast material, and promoting a safe environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with patients and family members, assessing their emotional and physical needs during examinations.
  • Promote a safe environment by screening patients for contraindications and following universal precautions.
  • Transport patients safely and accurately label images for proper patient identification.
  • Document patient history, pregnancy status, and allergy status, and provide education on ARRT, IEMA, MRI Registry, and CE points.
  • Complete daily Phantom and QI logs, and utilize PACS, HMS, and Teleradiology systems.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiological technologist program or MRI program.
  • At least 1 year of experience in MRI and 2 years in Radiology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association.
