Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in macroeconomics, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Conduct research in macroeconomic theory and policy, with a focus on publishing high-quality research in top-tier academic journals
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding and collaborating with colleagues across the department and university
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including serving as a thesis advisor and committee member
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including serving on committees and contributing to departmental and university-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Economics or a related field
  • Strong research and teaching record, with a focus on macroeconomic theory and policy
  • Ability to teach a range of courses, including introductory and advanced macroeconomics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on working effectively with colleagues and students
  • Ability to secure external funding and collaborate with colleagues across the department and university
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postdoctoral research experience
  • Teaching experience, including experience teaching introductory and advanced macroeconomics courses
  • Research experience in macroeconomic theory and policy, with a focus on publishing high-quality research in top-tier academic journals
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and developing inclusive teaching practices
