The Hotel Security Specialist will be tasked with monitoring the hotel premises to detect, report, and mitigate any suspicious activities or safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive incident reports based on factual information obtained during self-initiated investigations.
  • Foster a secure working environment while complying with OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee the fire life safety system, ensuring prompt responses to alarms and assisting with evacuations.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the hotel's emergency preparedness protocols and response strategies for critical incidents.
  • Accountable for documenting daily activities, managing key control, and issuing visitor identification badges.
  • Experience with video surveillance systems, including the ability to view, replay, and archive footage.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with guests and team members across various platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Embody our core values of passion, excellence, relevance, collaboration, and integrity.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in a high-end or luxury setting.
  • Must obtain CPR certification and a state-issued Private Security Officer License within the first month of employment.
  • Achieve CLSO designation within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of state laws and local ordinances is essential.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and security operation software.
  • Previous experience in the hotel industry, particularly in luxury or Forbes-rated establishments, is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining a welcoming and approachable demeanor.
    • Capable of ascending multiple flights of stairs quickly in emergency situations.
