We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Registration Coordinator to join our team at Optum, in strategic partnership with ProHealth Care. As a key member of our patient registration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences from arrival to discharge.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for registering patients, collecting demographic and financial information, and verifying insurance coverage.
  • Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to resolve any registration-related issues.
  • You will work closely with our clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely patient registration, reducing delays and improving overall patient satisfaction.
  • In this fast-paced environment, you will need to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
  • To succeed in this role, you should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in patient registration, medical office administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work 2 shifts per pay period, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in an electronic medical records system.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
