Job Title: Controls Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing and automating processes across various manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, construction, and integration of equipment and tools required for high-quality part production
  • Manage deliveries to program timing milestones and provide project report outs to senior management
  • Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers and troubleshoot electrical controls systems
  • Communicate effectively with customers and plants, and work collaboratively to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a controls/automation engineer working with Allen Bradley PLCs
  • Experience working with HMIs (Siemens) and integrating PLCs to robots or vision systems
  • Experience working on the manufacturing plant floor, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Ability to program Allen Bradley from scratch and experience with Eplan

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General Assembly Experience and experience with robotic programming (Fanuc Kuka ABB)
  • Experience with Ethernet and/or Devicenet networks and GCCH-1 Certification
  • GCCS-2 Certification and previous GM Experience/knowledge of GM standards
