Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Material and Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and overseeing all activities involved in scheduling production and material requirements, including the acquisition of materials and outside services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Analyze current and future demand needs within the MRP system, including production capacity and material requirements.
- Supply Chain Management: Partner with operations to evaluate load and understand capacity requirements for labor and machinery, anticipate capacity and material constraints, and work to mitigate risks.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Oversee purchasing requirements for materials and outside services, negotiate prices for raw materials and delivery with suppliers and vendors, and communicate with management regularly regarding supply chain flow and services affecting production.
- Inventory Management: Maintain MRP parameters related to efficient lot sizing, purchasing, forecasting, and safety stock.
- Communication: Communicate production schedule to operations and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and co-workers.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred, but not required.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive supply chain/materials management in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ERP/MRP experience required, Epicor experience preferred, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
