Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Woodland Heights Medical Center. As a Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and staining specimens of human body tissue for evaluation by pathologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and stain specimens of human body tissue for microscopic examination
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of histology procedures and protocols
  • Operate and maintain histology equipment, including microtomes and staining machines
  • Prepare solutions and perform special mountings and stains as required
  • Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a histology program
  • Knowledge of chemical reagents, solutions, and equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to perform histology procedures with high accuracy and attention to detail
